Vinco - The Thinnest RFID Blocking Wallet

Vinco has been developed by a group of students based in Leeds, England and is just about the most minimal wallet it's possible to get. It has an unashamedly simple but effective design with one main purpose: to protect your cards and cash. Protection both from the elements, and from RFID theft. Sometimes a wallet that strips the design back to the bare bones can be just as interesting as one that crams in all kinds of features, and Vinco feels like one of those instances.

About the Vinco Wallet

The Vinco wallet is made from Tyvek, which is a type of very tough paper. You might have never heard of it, but you've probably used it before in the form of a postage envelope. It has been a staple of slim wallets for some time now, with SlimFold probably being the most famous producer, so the material has considerable track record with use in wallets. The appeal of it is that it can be made super thin and still be strong enough for daily use.

Vincoemploys this to great effect and has a footprint of less than a single credit card, so it will add almost no bulk to your everyday cards and cash. Vinco have also worked built in RFID protection into this ultra-slim profile, which is an impressive feat by anyone's standards. The material is also waterproof and tear-resistant, so should keep your cards and cash safe from harm.

The wallet consists of one single pocket, it is almost like a tiny RFID protecting envelope for your cards. This pocket can fit up to 7 cards, and a few notes, which will need folding to fit. 

There are 4 colours to choose from, each utilising the natural features of Tyvek to deliver a rustic finish, with bold stitching and the Vinco logo as a finishing touch. It is a simple design but one that will appeal to many.

That's right, Indiegogo. Most new wallets we see come from Kickstarter, and that's why we're usually mentioning them, but Indiegogo is a similar site, utilising the same crowdfunding concept. For a while now we've been keeping our eye out for any interesting projects on Indiegogo, until now without any avail, but finally it's paid off, so we can give some love to Indiegogo too!
