SECRID introduces the Cardslide
For those of you who read our previous post which mentioned recent rumours of a new SECRID product being launched we now have details. A press release was recently release by the Dutch brand which says the following:
For people who like an ultra-thin wallet, SECRID is introducing the Cardslide; a combination of the aluminium Cardprotector – which protects up to 6 cards against unwanted reading and breakage – and a high-gloss plastic slide with space for cash or business cards, bound together with strong elastic.
New design The Cardslide consists of the aluminium Secrid Cardprotector and a slide, connected to each other with a wide elastic band. The extendable slide is made of polycarbonate, a high-quality plastic that is also used in CDs and safety goggles. In the Cardslide, besides the cards in the Cardprotector, there is also space for other necessities such as a key, business cards or cash. The elastic in the Cardslide is also flexible enough to fit something extra, if needed.
Functionality and workmanship Not just the Cardslide, but all wallets made by Secrid contain the aluminium Cardprotector that protects cards against breakage and the unwanted reading of data. Thanks to the smart mechanism, the cards in the Cardprotector are ready to use with just a single click. Secrid now sells its products in more than 3,000 sales outlets, distributed over 30 countries. However, the company’s products are designed and produced in the Netherlands, where working conditions and environmental legislation are strictly regulated.
Availability
The Cardslide is available in seven different colour combinations, which are inspired by the European cities in which Secrid is popular, such as Berlin, Copenhagen and Amsterdam. From April 2014, the Cardslide will be available from the selected sales outlets and the Secrid online shop. Besides the Cardslide, Secrid is also adding new coloured Cardprotectors to its line.
