Remade Wallets by Canvas Pop

Canvas Pop is a web based company who take peoples photos and converts them into pieces of canvas art. During the production process waste canvases with unique images printed on them are discarded and thrown away. In an effort to reduce their waste and do their bit for charity Canvas Pop came up with a use for their waste canvases. They take them and use them to make their "remade" wallets from them, 

There are two models offered, the two panel or the one panel (as shown above). Also there are two genres of art work featured on their wallets.

Firstly some wallets feature specially procured art work which is printed on waste canvas to be made into cool looking wallets. For example the wallet above which was created from the following photo:

Alternatively there are "surprise me" wallets offered which are made from waste canvas which already has been printed on with someones unique art. In this case, permission is obtained and they are turned into unique one of a kind wallets.

The wallets cost just $24 for either a one or two panel wallet with "featured art" printed on them and only $19 for a "surprise me" wallet.

Not only is each wallet is constructed by EcoEquitable Inc., a non-profit organization that provides employment and skill development to immigrant and underemployed women but $5 (the profit made after production costs are recovered) is given from the sale of each wallet to Charity Water who are a non-profit organisation bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. Charity Water have pledged that 100% of these donations will go to fund clean water projects and that they will find an alternative way to cover their costs.

The only snag for us here in the UK is that they do not currently ship to the UK. HOWEVER, before you get to upset, we at Slim Wallet Junkie have got in touch with the good people at Canvas Pop and they replied saying;

"We are not currently shipping to the UK, but we hope to do so within the next couple of weeks. We will let you know! Thanks for your support."
