Tribe UltraLight - Perfectly Balanced Wallet

The Tribe UltraLight Walletis the second Wallet Kickstarter created by Chase Ellestad, and promises to be 'the wallet of the future'. The original Tribe wallet was successfully funded back in October of 2014 with the support of over 800 backers and is the predecessor to this new design. The Tribe UltraLight builds upon the success of the first project with a sleek design and some exciting new features.

About Tribe UltraLight Wallet

The Tribe UltraLight is a slim, minimalist design which consists of two plates bound together by a slim stainless steel or titanium bar. The wallet is available in 3 distinct versions:

Sterling Sliver which has Texalium back-plates and either Stainless Steel or Titanium bars.

Stealth Black made up of Carbon Fiber back-plates and Stainless Steel or Titanium bars (in silver finish or anodized black).

Solid Titanium which as the name suggests, consists of Titanium back plates and Titanium bars.

Each of these materials is aircraft grade and so not only looks sexy, but should hopefully prove robust and durable. The back-plates provide ample storage space for between 2 and 10 cards, which can be accessed by pushing up from the bottom and fanning through. The bars on either side of the wallet allow for cash, extra cards or other items needed for quick access to be stored. The video even shows it is possible to tuck a few coins into the wallet too, though it is not altogether clear where these coins are being stored.

The design of the wallet also promises to be balanced enough to mean it will stand upright on any edge. OK, this isn't exactly a feature I look for in a wallet, but is a display of the careful thought that has been put into the design. A feature that many certainly do look for in a wallet is RFID protection, and each version of the Tribe UltraLight Wallet does come with RFID protection built in.

The wallet can also be used as a handy phone stand, and unlike some other wallets that seem to have have been designed with this as the main purpose, and then everything else seems to be an afterthought, with the Tribe this appears to be a more natural and subtle design feature that is in-keeping with the general style and utility of the wallet.
