Vallett is a wallet that offers something pretty different to anything we remember seeing recently. It utilities Carbon Fiber - this isn't particularly unique, in fact it seems to be particularly fashionable at the moment, however, the way it utilities the Carbon Fiber into a really minimalist, yet fairly regular style is impressive.
Carbon Fiber, if you don't know by now, is a very lightweight but durable material that is used in many high-end products. In fact, I am currently away skiing and have hired myself a pair of skis that utilize Carbon Fiber, and they glide like a dream! So if it's good enough to carry me down a mountain, it's certainly good enough for my wallet. The use of Carbon Fiber in the Vallett Wallet doesn't seem like a gimmick, but an integral part of the design, as it allows for the two panels to be very slim, light and a little flexible, but still strong.
The main features of the Vallett Wallet are:
There are two versions of the Vallet Wallet, a small and a very small. The smallest one is almost exactly the size of a credit card, and requires notes to be folded twice, whereas the slightly larger version is designed more for heavy cash users, as notes need only be folded once, and are easier to access. The inside of the wallet has an elastic layer sown in which acts as a pocket on each side. This allows the Vallet to securely hold either a single note or card, or up to 10 cards and 20 notes. There is a low profile clasp built into the wallet meaning even when stuffed full, it can sill be secured to keep it slim and prevent it from popping open like many bi-folds tend to.
There are a few options for the finish, with a limited edition silver version as well as the classic black. Each Vallet is hand stitched, and there will be a choice of several thread colours. The sleek looking Vallet logo will be etched into the front of each wallet to provide some elegant detail to compliment the stitching. A nice touch is the option to choose a premium display box for the wallet to arrive in, which is expensive, but would make an excellent gift.
The Vallett wallet has got off to a great start on Kickstarter, with several different pledge options, starting at $69 (All the early bird prices have now gone), so for more details and to pledge, visit the Vallett Wallet kickstarter page. Alternatively, check out their video below.
